Abstract:

Methods  Totally  110 nurses selected by convenience sampling method were investigated by the Family Supportive Supervisor Behaviors Short-Form (FSSB-SF),the  Positive  Emotion  Scale  and  Maslach  Burnout  Inventory-General  Survey  (MBI-GS).  Results   The score of family  support supervisor behaviors, positive emotion and  job burnout were  (3.430.88 )(3.140.79)   and (3.381.03) respectively. The family supportive supervisor behaviors(r=-0.336,P<0.001),positive emotion (r=-0.176,P=0.012) were negatively related to  job burnout. The family  supportive supervisor behaviors directly negatively predieted job burnout. Positive emotion partially mediated the association between family supportive supervisor behaviors and job bumout, accounted for 15.96% of the total effect.  Conclusion  Clinical nursing managers should give family supportive supervisor behaviors to emergency department nurses to improve their positive emotion and reduce the job burnout.
