Nursing care of a 103-year-old patient with intertrochanteric fracture complicated with pulmonary embolism

Abstract: To summarize the nursing experience of artificial femoral head replacement in a super elderly patient with intertrochanteric fracture complicated with pulmonary embolism. For the patient had no obvious symptoms of pulmonary embolism,several basic diseases,and short time for preoperative preparation,we have taken a series of measures,including planning a multidisciplinary diagnosis and nursing scheme,evaluating and intervening the pulmonary embolism,observing the multimodal analgesic effect,postoperative nutritional support and early rehabilitation. After 23 days of treatment and nursing,the patient was discharged. The patient was followed up for 4 months after discharge and recovered well.
