Abstract:

The article summarized the nursing experience of prone position ventilation under extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO) in a premature infant with acute respiratory distress syndrome. Nursing key points included establishing the multidisciplinary team to assess the timing of ECMO,development and implementation of individualized prone position ventilation, standardized management of various pipelines to prevent slippage, close observation of vital signs to ensure hemodynamic stability, bleeding and anticoagulation management, refined skin management, prevention of pressure injury and etc. After careful treatment and care, the patient successfully withdrew from ECMO,improved respiratory morphology, and the effect of prone ventilation was significant. After 78 days of hospitalization, the patient was discharged smoothly and in good condition during follow-up.
