Nursing care for a liver cancer patient with septic shock induced by immune-related colitis after immunotherapy

Abstract: This case report summarizes the nursing experience provided to a liver cancer patient who developed septic shock due to immune-related colitis after immunotherapy. In response to the critical and rapidly progressing condition of the patient,early implementation of goal-directed therapeutic strategies for fluid management,personalized assessment of inferior vena cava diameters based on bedside ultrasound to avoid fluid resuscitation related injuries,implementation of immunotherapeutic toxicity management interventions,positive psychological interventions based on the Five Elements of Happiness and implementation of personalized nutrition were taken. The patient was hospitalized for 7 days and was discharged after recovery. After one week of follow-up after discharge,the patient‘s condition was good.
