Abstract: To summarize the nursing experience of a patient with severe obesity and acute respiratory distress syndrome. The patient developed acute respiratory distress syndrome after taking online weight loss medication,which presented with difficult airway,severe oxygenation disorders,the risk of infection aggravation and malnutrition,we adopted nursing interventions,including emergency opening of difficult airway and implementation of lung ventilation protection strategy,personalized ECMO combined with prone position ventilation,implementing infection control strategy to reduce the risk of aggravation of infection,personalized nutrition supply to enhance the immune function,step-by-step exercise rehabilitation training to improve respiratory function,strengthening health education to establish healthy living habits. After active treatment and nursing,the patient was discharged smoothly on the ninth day after admission.
