Abstract: To summarize the first aid and nursing experience of resuscitative aortic balloon occlusion for hemostasis in a patient with massive upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage. In order to solve the problems of this patient,such as large amount of bleeding,unknown location of bleeding,critical condition with rapid progress,and the need to quickly control bleeding to maintain vital signs,we took measures such as rapid disease identification and restricted fluid resuscitation,emergency bedside resuscitated aortic balloon occlusion for emergency hemostasis and close observation of ischemia and reperfusion injury. After 13 days of active treatment and meticulous nursing,the patient was successfully treated and discharged from the hospital. The patient was followed up for 3 months after discharge and was in good condition.
