Multidisciplinary collaborative nursing care for critically ill pregnant and postpartum women treated with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation

Abstract: To summarize the nursing experience of using extracorporeal membrane oxygenation to treat 8 critically ill pregnant and postpartum women. We adopted multidisciplinary collaborative team to coordinate and manage difficult catheterization,implement the delivery plan and monitor the fetuses,implement the precise anticoagulation and prevention of bleeding,strengthen catheter fixation and monitoring of spontaneous breathing during conscious ECMO,and provide multidimensional psychological care. All 8 patients survived,and 3 fetuses survived.
