Abstract: Drug administration via enteral feeding tubes refers to the delivery of therapeutically effective oral drugs directly into the gastrointestinal tract through a feeding tube. This article reviews the barriers and intervention strategies related to standardized practice of drug administration via feeding tubes. Barriers include insufficient training, lacking of standardized procedures, inadequate multidisciplinary collaboration, and lacking of quality control systems. Targeted intervention on the above barriers can promote the standardization of drug administration via feeding tubes.
