Abstract

Stress exposure of premature infants means that they are exposed to different stressors. This article reviewed the overview of stress exposure of premature infants, the control of the cumulative amount and the interventions of stress exposure of hospitalized premature infants. The control of the cumulative amount of stress exposure mainly included the control of the physical environment, the reduce of unnecessary medical treatment, testing and nursing procedures, shortening of the length of hospital stay, and adopting two-person techniques. Stress exposure intervention can reduce the negative effects of stress exposure on premature infants, but attention should be paid to the implementation rate of intervention measures.
