Abstract

High flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy has been widely used in China due to its ability to maintain the normal function of airway mucous,reduce physiological dead space,provide high-flow warm and humidified gas and provide certain ventilation support. At present,there is no clear guidance document for nursing staff in China. Beijing Hospital and other 11 hospitals have formulated the “Nursing Standard for High Flow Nasal Cannula Oxygen in Adults(T/CRHA 015-2023)”,a group standard of the Chinese Research Hospital Association,which provides the basic requirements,assessment,operation and infection control methods for caring adult patients with nasal high flow oxygen therapy. The present article is interpreting some items concerning the each part of standard to help the users understand the standard and promote the normative practice of high flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy.
