Abstract: Objective To explore the construction of a “one-stop” trauma resuscitation unit based on 5G technology, providing a new example for further improving the rescue level of severe trauma patients. Methods The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine built a “one-stop” emergency trauma resuscitation unit integrating 5G technology based on a multidisciplinary team including medical,nursing,5G technology, artificial intelligence, and etc. The number of trauma patients treated, average retention time of trauma patients and patient satisfaction were compared before and after the establishment of trauma resuscitation unit integrated with 5G technology. Results A “one-stop” trauma resuscitation unit integrated with 5G technology has been successfully built, including a pre-hospital - intra-hospital closed-loop information linkage platform, centralized and optimized allocation of equipment and resources for trauma resuscitation units,multi-port remote information efficient interaction,to achieve remote monitoring, remote consultation, remote command, family remote visit, remote emergency trauma teaching sharing and training. After the trauma resuscitation unit was constructed, the number of rescued patients increased by 27% compared with the previous period, the patient satisfaction increased to 96.87%, and the median duration of the length of stay in emergency room of trauma patients was shortened to 95(60,160) minutes. Conclusion The one-stop trauma resuscitation unit integrated with 5G technology provides a good hardware condition for accomplishing high-quality emergency treatment of severe trauma, and improves trauma care efficiency and patient satisfaction.
