Abstract: To summarize the perioperative nursing experience of a patient with giant ovarian mucinous cystadenoma. A giant ovarian tumor can lead to serious complications such as spontaneous rupture and compression of the tumor,leading to organ dysfunction. In terms of the huge tumor size,severe anemia,malnutrition,and emotional instability in the patient,we adopted comprehensive preoperative assessment,took measures to improve anemia and provide timely psychological counseling. Effective intraoperative management was implemented and preventive measures were developed for postoperative recurrent pulmonary edema,stress ulcer bleeding,deep vein thrombosis,and pulmonary embolism through cross departmental medical and nursing team discussions. After active treatment and meticulous nursing care,the patient was successfully discharged on the 6th day after surgery and had a good prognosis during 6 months of follow-up.
